TV Free Night
Last night (Monday), was TV Free night in the Roseberry Pierce household. What led up to TV Free night was a discussion on Sunday that went something like this:
Enter husband. "Mmm. Dinner smells good."
While cooking, wife says, "Thank you. It will be ready in about a half hour."
Husband: "Can you believe how much we accomplished today? It's almost like time goes by too fast when you watch TV, but when you turn it off, you have so much time to do other things and you get so much more done."
Wife: "Yeah, that's so true. What to keep the TV tomorrow night and see what happens?"
Husband: "Yeah, let's do it!"
Last night, we talked and cooked together, went for a walk, looked over some estimates for a contractor, worked-out and played some board games...all in the space of 3 hours. Amazing.
Maybe we should have TV Free nights more often. Does anyone else out there do TV Free nights? Just curious.

Uh, no. 'Cuz then we would have to talk. LOL! Just kidding of course. We have TV free 20 minute chunks instead of entire evenings. A is quite hopelessly addicted to netflix. I, on the other hand, am much more addicted to the 'net than the tv.
We do TV free nights pretty often. Thanks TIVO. But, computer free nights would probably make a much bigger difference.
Yes we do, Andre would be a Zombie if I didn't LOL...and this week he was a bit challenging, acting every bit his age, so we did TV free mornings and evenings and really, he was a much better kid.
Edie, We have contemplated Netflix, but are too lazy to sign ourselves up! But we have been seeing movies at the dollar movie cinema a lot lately.
Cindy, Still no TIVO, but we don't really want one. As far as computer free night, well, that's not going to happen. I am addicted! j/k
Cristina, I am a much better kid, too, when I am not zombie-fied by TV.
We are doing another tv free night tomorrow (Monday), so that I can finish up this thesis and send it out to my readers for one last read through.
