Going to School in Your Underwear--Huh?
So, I started my new job a couple weeks ago (and it is a great job, btw), but the night before my first day, I had one of those dreams. Yes, one of those. Crazy thing about it? I have never had one of those "gone to school in my underwear" dreams before. I guess I was really nervious about that first day!!! Now, I know what they mean about those dreams.
New Neighborhood, New Gym, Last Day
So, I live in Suburbia, which is a new experience for me. It seemed like Suburbia was all about houses looking the same, neighborhood associations, and white bread. I was so, so wrong. It's been eye opening to see the variety of people, businesses and events that happen here in Suburbiaville. Lots of people from all over the world, right in my little neighborhood. Cool. What does this have to do with a sneaker? Nothing. I am about to go for a run, so it seemed appropriate to post a sneaker pic. Anyhow, has anyone gone to the Van Gogh show? This is the last weekend. Today is the final day. Who knew that lines would extend outside of the museum? Thousands of people were there ALL DAY LONG. Really. No exaggeration. We left at 2, thinking the crowds would die down by dinner time. So wrong with that assumption. Despite the crowds, it was an amazing exhibit with many gorgeous paintings. Here is just one...Enjoy:
New Year
Hmm. What to say? What to say?Well, we are all supposed to have some type of life-altering commitments that will give us new leases on life right? Blech to that! I am ready for some realism. Aren't you? Ok, let's be real. We CAN do it (e. g. lose weight, get a new job, go back to school), but is it really going to happen because of some arbitrary date and a few Bally's ads? No way. You know, there is this really great saying, can't remember who said it, but it goes something like this:First I will believe it and then I will see it. So, how about deciding to change what's inside and then seeing what happens on the outside. What would happen? Really? Just wondering>>>
